Join Kaiser Permanente in Celebration for the Cure
The Ribbon Structures will be Prominently Displayed as Public Art throughout the area from early June thru September 25, 2010. The 6 foot tall x 4 foot wide ribbons uniquely adorned by area artists whose inspirations are drawn from places of creative expression to in an effort to join Kaiser Permanente in Celebration for the Cure. Funds from charitable partners and ribbon sales go to CureBreastCancer.org, Dr. Ernie Bodai’s Foundation. (Dr. Bodai convinced Congress & the U.S.P.S. to issue the Breast Cancer Research Stamp, raising $65 Million so far and has now reached mail systems in over 15 countries).
The structures will be presented to the public in various locations for three months before reaching their permanent home in late September 2010. The finished ribbons will be on display along with a body of the participating artist’s work during the Grand Celebration September 25, 4pm at Westfield’s Galleria Mall in Roseville Ca. That day one more ribbon, ‘Hands on Healing’ Ribbon of Hope, will be created by event participants by placing various hues of violet hand prints on fabric which will later be formed into a huge structural ribbon.
